Classical Roman Style Lettering on Wooden Plinth - Traditional Methods

Sometimes with certain projects its nice to do a little research on the subject before proceeding with the actual job at hand... this one spiked my interest to say the least, as its in Latin.
The Phrase comes from a painting by Fra Angelico called The Annunciation, painted in 1433/34. I wanted to write the lettering in a style that echoed that era so the Signwriting for this is in a Classic Roman Type, initially there was going to be a bit of Gilding but i quite like the starkness of the black on this one so left it plain.

Hand Done of course, with Maulstick, Sable Brush and some good old 1Shot Enamels!
